The team worked with the Australia Council for the Arts to evaluate the impact of Australia’s representation at the Venice Biennale for participating artists’ careers.

Using interviews with artists, curators and gallerists who participated in the Biennale between 1997 and 2017, it found that the extent of the impact varied according to their career stage at the time of artists’ participation.
